 Itinerary

Day 1:  MUMBAI  to  SASAN GIR via RAJKOT

Travel: Proceed to Bandra Railway Station to catch the train to Rajkot (station). People are requested to reach station prior 2hrs of given schedule time.

Day 2:  SASAN GIR via RAJKOT enroute JUNAGARH

Places to be seen:

  • Rajkot – Proceed for city tour covering Kaba Gandhi Delo Gandhiji’s ancestral home
  • Lal Pari Lake & Randerda
  • A picturesque picnic spot

En-route visiting Junagarh: 

  • An ancient fortified city rich in Myth & Legend.
  • Visit Uparkot Fort – famous for its virtual inaccessibility
  • Ashoka’s Rock edicts – the fourteen rock edicts of the Emperor Ashoka
  • Damodar Kund – A sacred tank.
  • On arrival in Sasangir, check in into hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3:  SASAN GIR to DIU

Places to be seen: The day to visit the world of wild fauna. Time for Game viewing. Enjoy Jungle safari. Later drive the drive to Diu to visit:

  • St.Paul’s church: The Church adorned with curiously treated volutes & shell-like motifs and the magnificent wood carving is considered to be the most elaborate of all the Portuguese churches in India.
  • St.Thomas Church Museum: An edifice in gothic architecture was built in 1598. A part of it has been converted into a museum an Archeological treasure house.
  • Diu Fort: This majestic structure stands on the coast of Diu sentinel. Once inside, you are overwhelmed by the gaunt majesty of the ancient stone work which transports you to a bygone era of gallant soldiers where time stands still.
  • Nagoa beach: The Nagoa beach is exceptionally beautiful & quiet. In the exceptionally beautiful horse-shoe(semicircular) shaped beach.

Day 4:  DIU to DWARKA via SOMNATH

Travel to: DWARKA , PORBANDAR

Places to be seen:

  • Somnath: En-route Somnath visit the seat of the twelve most sacred “Jyotirlingas” of Lord Shiva; later drive to Dwarka via Porbandar
  • Porbandar: One way visit,the Birth Place of Mahatma Gandhi, Gandhi Ashram and Geeta Mandir arrive Dwarka upon arrival check in at the Hotel later evening visit DWARKA Temple, attend evening aarti.
  • check in at the Hotel & Dwarka & Overnight stay at Dwarka

Day 5: DWARKA to JAMNAGAR (145 KMS 3 HOURS)

Places to be seen:

  • After early breakfast  drive to Today Bet Dwarka & Nageshwar temple.
  • Bet Dwarka : Bet is situated at 30kms from Dwarka and is surrounded by sea from all sides. One can reach Bet from Dwarka through Okha by road. On reaching Okha port jetty, one can reach Bet through a little sea journey in a launch or in a small boat.
  • Nageshwar Temple or Nagnath Temple is located on the route between Gomati Dwarka and the Bait Dwarka Island on the coast of Saurashtra in Gujarat. The Jyotirlinga enshrined in the Temple of Nagnath is known as Nageshwar Mahadev and attracts thousands of pilgrims all round the year. This powerful Jyotirlinga symbolizes protection from all poisons. It is said that those who pray to the NageshwarLinga become free of poison. The RudraSamhitasloka refers to Nageshwar with the phrase ‘Daarukaavane Naagesham.
  • Later travel to Jamnagar. Arrive Jamnagar to on arrival check in to your hotel.
  • Later Afternoon visit to the Jamnagar city.
  • Jamnagar is famous for silver wear, Embroidery, Bandhani also visit lakhota place including the tie and dye market etc.
  • Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 6:  JAMNAGAR to BHUJ (280 KMS)

Places to be seen:

  • After breakfast drives to Bhuj, Upon arrival proceed to Bhriyandari to obtain the permit (Please all foreign clients need to obtain the permit for Banny village visit) . Evening stroll around  in the local market Overnight  at the hotel.
  • Bhuj, Bhuj is known for its Kutchi style of architecture. Founded by a local ruler Maharao Hamir in 1510, the city remained an independent princely state during the British rule. The local rulers built the walls of the city in 1723. There are walls within walls, attractive crenellated gateways, old palaces with intricately carved wooden pavilions, and striking, brightly decorated Hindu temples. Bhuj resembles much of India before the tourist invasion, and you’re much more likely to come across that disarming hospitality which was once the hallmark of rural India. Known for its culture and rich heritage, the city has the oldest museum of the State of Gujarat.
  • Later visit Aina Mahal which now serves as a museum was built during the rule of Rao Lakhpatji. It now stands as a repository of the culture and history of Kutch. Also visit Pragmal Palace which is opposite to Aina Mahal. Also visit Kutch Museum, the oldest Museum in Gujarat established in 1877. Originally known as the Fergusson Museum, after its founder, Sir James Fergusson, a governor of Mumbai under the British Raj. The exhibits on display are gold and silver ornaments, Kshatrapa inscriptions, textiles, weapons, archaeological finds, stuffed animals and musical instruments. Besides these, it is equipped with a picture gallery and sections for anthropology and shipping.
  • Evening stroll around in the local market. Enjoy the Culture of Kutch along with entertaining activities Overnight at bhungas

DAY 7:  BHUJ

Places to be seen: 

  • Full day excursion to Kalo Dungar (the Black Hill) the highest hill in Kutch, Kalo dungar rises 462 m above sea level and lies near the Indian-Pakistan border. At the top you can enjoy a cool breeze and a panorama of the Great Rann of Kutch.
  • There is also a temple dedicated to the hindu diety Dattatreya, the trinity if Brahma Vishnu and Shiva in one body with three heads and six hands that is accompanied by a cow and four dogs. Retun to the bhungas .
  • Enroute visit Handicraft village “Gandhi nu Gaam”.
  • Enjoy sunset Mode of transfer can be through Camel Cart.Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 8: BHUJ to AHMEDABAD

Travel to: AHEMDABAD

Places to be seen:

  • Arrive at Ahmedabad- Manchester of the East. Ahmedabad, founded in the year 1411 AD is located on the banks of river Sabarmati and has been named after Sultan Ahmed Shah.
  • The city of Ahmedabad has some of the finest Museum including some theme museums dedicated to textiles, handicrafts, art and Culture. Ahmedabad is a major centre of traditional and contemporary textile.
  • Visit Gandhi Ashram, Jumma Masjid, Teen Darwaja and Huteesingh.
  • Visit kankaria lake.

DAY 9: Depart to AHMEDABAD

  • After breakfast visit Gandhinagar – Akshardam Temples (30 Kms one-way)
  • on the way back visit Sabarmati Ashram and  way back visit Adalaj Step and in time transfer to Ahmedabad Airport Back to Mumbai
